"Pic shows: The carcass of the kid that possesses unusually human-like features at Ibrahim\u00eds home in Felda Sungai Mas, Johor. Social media has gone into a frenzy after pictures of what appears to be a fawn - the mythical fusion of goat and human - was born in southern Malaysia. The newborn goat with a humanlike face did not live for long after its birth and the carcass has now been handed over to the Veterinary Services Department. The baby goat belonged to a farmer in the village of Felda named Ibrahim Basir who had refused offers of money from people interested in buying the carcass. Instead, the 63-year-old decided to hand it over to the experts to enable them to carry out an investigation on the strange-looking kid. Ibrahim told local media he was initially shocked when he found out that one of his goats had given birth to a kid that had the features of a human baby. He said he was earlier informed by one of his farmworkers, Jamaludin Abdul Samad, 50, that some parts of the baby goat looked like a human infant. He said: \"When I went to check, I was quite shocked but fascinated too as its face, nose, short legs and even the condition of its soft body that seemed like a human baby, whereas the light brown fur covering its whole body resembles that of a goat.\" He added that despite the features, the fawn-like creature did not have any umbilical cord. Ibrahim said he believed by its mother, and added: \"We kept the carcass in a polystyrene box filled with ice cubes before taking it to the district veterinary office at around noon yesterday.\" (ends)"
